Vijayalakshmi Balaji, a dedicated homemaker and mother to a two-year-old, has embarked on a remarkable journey to bring homemade, hygienic food products to the community. In November 2024, she launched her startup, UV Foods, with the support of her husband.
The company specializes in health mix powders, including multigrain powders and millet rice kanji powders, designed to enhance the nutritional value of everyday meals.
Additionally, UV Foods offers flavorful powders for daily cooking needs, such as sambar and curry masala’s. Based in Erode, known as the “Turmeric City” (மஞ்சள் மாநகரம் ஈரோடு), they take pride in producing organic turmeric powder.
Erode is recognized as one of India’s largest producers of turmeric, and its distinct flavor and vibrant yellow color are essential in many dishes, adding both taste and health benefits to every meal.
